C, K, S, E, & M Spring Mini-Portrait Session {Victoria, BC Family Photographer}

I met up with the "M" family towards the end of my mini-session day. It was a really special session as the Grandparents were in town, and were able to be a part of the session! The little girl "S" was such a kick in the pants, and decided right at the beginning of our session that she would call me Valerie (a character from one of her favourite stories). I love the imaginations and carefree natures of children, it always brightens up my day!

My last mini-session of the day was with a really nice family that I met up with for the first time! As much as I love photographing young children, there's something very exciting about a family with older children! Everyone looked at the camera, and smiled on cue! Our shoot went really smoothly, and when it was over, it felt like only 5 minutes had passed. Time sure flies when you're having fun!

 

 

Suits, dresses, daffodills, and a velvet couch!

I have known the "W" family for about 7 years now.  When I first met this family, Mama "H" wasn't yet pregnant with #2. Today they are a family of 6, with 4 amazing children! It has been a joy to watch this family grow, both in size and in years. The last time I photographed them, their youngest little one was having newborn portraits taken. It's amazing how fast time flies! I adore this family, and was so pleased to be asked to take their family portraits, as well as some much needed couples shots! "H" and her hubby "C" are now celebrating 10 years of marriage! What a beautiful family they have, and what a blessing it is to know them! Happy 10th Anniversary to "H" and "C"! I'm already looking forward to our next session together!

 

  

 

Home again!

What a pleasure it was to photograph our cousin's family, the "B" family, while they were back in Victoria for a visit. They traded in chilly Alberta for the unpredictable weather in Victoria. Thankfully the weather held out for us, and we were able to catch some lovely family photos. It was great to spend a bit of time with them and to see once again the love and the beauty in all of them! Next time we'll have to catch Mr. B too!

Happy, Busy Baby Boy!

I had the privilege of meeting up with Sweet Mr. "W" and his parents "A" & "A" the other day at their home in order to try and capture some photos of him!  At 6 weeks old Mr. "W" was rearing to go, and spent the bulk of our session moving and shaking! He was as sweet as can be and was my first winking baby! I swear, every time I put my camera down to adjust him a bit I would catch a darling little wink! At 6 weeks old, Mr. "W" was ready to take on the world, and was not interested in laying on his side or tummy. He knew what he wanted, and in the end, he won the battle, photos laying on his back won the day! When Mr. "W" finally got dressed for his family photos though, he gave up the fight and fell fast asleep. What a doll he was!  Congratulations "A" & "A" on the arrival of your precious little boy, he was a joy to photograph!

Mini Sessions Fully Booked

Thanks so much everyone for all of the interest!  At this time I'm fully booked for my mini-sessions on April 21st. I do plan on doing another round of sessions sometime in late May, and will post about those when we get a bit closer to that time!

Spring mini-shoots

What a chilly Spring we've had so far!

I've been holding off on Spring mini-shoots thus far as I've been hoping for some nicer weather! At this time I'm scheduling my next mini-shoot date for April 21st. There will be a make up date the following day (April 22nd) in case of inclement weather! I will be doing mini portrait sessions at Beacon Hill Park! Details are as follows:




-$50 for 30 minute shoot.

-Minimum of 20 high res photos on a CD for you to print at your convenience.

-Please email me at bibbphoto@gmail.com with time requested along with an email address where I can reach you with further details.

All sessions are 30 minutes.

Availability is as follows:

10:00-10:30* RESERVED
10:35-11:05* RESERVED
11:10- 11:40* RESERVED
11:45- 12:15* RESERVED
12:20- 12:50* RESERVED
12:55 - 1:25*
1:30- 2:00* RESERVED
2:05 - 2:35* RESERVED
2:40-3:10* RESERVED


*5 minute breaks are designed for one session to move and another to get into position so I can have a full 30 minutes to photograph your family.

****If all spots are not filled I may ask that you change your change your time so that there isn't a large gap. And, if there are more people than times I will try to accommodate that as well.

-These spots are first come, first serve. I will try to accommodate your requests, but I will keep an updated list of available times below, and will edit them as reservations are made.

-As time is limited during mini-shoots, there is a 6 person limit, though you can email me if your situation requires more people per session and we can discuss details from there.

-Wardrobes should reflect personality and should be clothes that you are comfortable in. If this means that your whole family matches, great! Otherwise, mix and matched bright clothing always allows for beautiful photos. Please refrain from wearing clothing with logos or characters on them as this will distract from you and your family in the photographs.

-Please show up at least 10 minutes prior to your session. This keeps everyone on schedule. Small children and their parents alike don't like being delayed.

-No wardrobe changes.
