I met up with "G" and "P" at the Government House on what had to be one of the nicest Winter mornings that we've had so far in Victoria. It was still a chilly morning, but it was clear, bright, and the sun even made an appearance every now and then! G & P were absolutely fabulous to work with, and humored even the strangest of requests in order to get some maternity shots of their upcoming arrival! We walked the bulk of the grounds, and even had P wander off the path a bit in order to get some more interesting shots. It was such a great session, and I really enjoyed meeting this lovely couple, and spending such a nice morning with them. I wish you both the very best in the weeks to come, with your little one making an appearance very soon here!
Love, Laughter, and a Lake!
I met up with the "R" family at their home to snap some indoor photos of their new little one, miss "H". She was an absolute doll, and took to the camera like a duck to water! After our quick stint indoors, we moved to the nearby park, which is on the shores of a lovely lake. Our photo session was rather bittersweet as the family was packing up that same week to move away, but I was thankful for the chance to meet them all, and to spend a bit of time together. You have a really wonderful family "J" and "T", I really enjoyed spending time with you and your gorgeous girls!
Suits and hockey
I recently had the pleasure of meeting with the "L" Family, who were gracious enough to invite me into their home for photos. They had a darling little girl, and two cutie pie little guys. We had some challenges getting little Mr. "N" to join us for photos, but mom and dad were fabulous negotiators! The kids were simply gorgeous, and oh-so-much fun to photograph! Thanks "L" family for letting me meet your fabulous family!
Empressed by the beauty
I made a pretty big decision last year, that it would be my last year taking on weddings. I have enjoyed every wedding that I have been asked to take part in as a photographer, and am thankful for the families I have met along the way! However, I felt that I needed more time to commit to family sessions. I know that children, families and couples are the type of photography sessions that I really want to take on full time. But there was one last hurrah before I said goodbye to weddings. My sister, who lives in the UK and got married over there just a few days before Christmas, asked me to take bridal portraits and reception photographs for herself and her new husband: my new brother-in-law here in Victoria! The portraits were to be taken at the reception venue: the Empress. It was an absolutely gorgeous reception, only upstaged by the bride and groom, who were wearing 18th century themed wedding attire. I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to spend this afternoon with them, and to document such a wonderfully important day!
I will only be sharing this one single photo, which I feel speaks volumes of the love and passion that these two special people feel for one another. The rest will be going to the bride and groom for approval before they choose which they would like to share with the world.
Congratulations to these two amazing people!
