A fabulous Christmas present

I had originally scheduled a newborn shoot with baby "N" and his family on a date when he was still comfy-cozy inside his mama, and had to reschedule. He was fashionably late coming, but early enough that they were able to have him home for Christmas! What a wonderful gift that must have been! "N" was 6 days old on the day of our shoot, and as cute as a button!  Big brother "E" stayed awake long enough for a couple of shots with his new baby brother, and then he napped away the rest of our shoot, leaving lots of leisure time for baby "N"- who eventually took his own nap!  Thank you for inviting me to document such a special time in your lives "J" and P", it really was a pleasure to meet your family!

Quick, who's got a good joke?

What a chilly morning it was when I met up with the "S" family! We haven't yet had a snowfall in Victoria, but this was about as close as we've come.  The frost was still thick on the ground when we met up for our shoot, but their family was super accommodating! The boys and their dad were a hoot, and took turns telling jokes which cracked everyone up! The boys were seriously outdone by their dad who seemed to have an arsenal of jokes waiting to be told. All of the laughing sure helped keep off the chill!  It was a great morning, and I enjoyed it thoroughly! Thanks for braving the weather to meet with me, it was a lot of fun!

Bring out the big guns

As wonderful as it is to meet with new clients, I'm always very happy to meet up with past clients!  I was so excited to meet up with the "V" family at Ft. Rodd Hill. When last we met, they were a family of 5, with #6 on the way, and during this shoot I had the opportunity to meet their sweet new little girl! All four kids were great sports about our many stops along the way as we walked through the park, and the weather even held out for us! It was great to see you all again, and I hope your holidays are simply wonderful!

LeRoy Wedding

This last Monday I had the privilege honour of photographing "A" & "M"'s wedding.  Their ceremony was small, simple, and absolutely perfect. Their nearest and dearest were there to attend, and the love present throughout the day was more than evident. This was my first wedding shoot in the Empress library, and it was both lovely and intimate.  December weddings have the distinction of having festive decor mixed in with the already gorgeous wedding apparel, and everything sparkles!  A & M drove down from Port Hardy to have their wedding in Victoria, and I'm so glad that they did! They made a stunning couple and their special day was a joy to be a part of!  Congratulations to you both, and I wish you all of the very best during this new chapter in your life!
